My journey first started in high school where I was enrolled in a youth trades hairdressing program. After completing the one year program in early 2023, I decided to officially join Charm & Champagne for further education as I continue to learn from my peers.
I am passionate about up-dos and want to specialize in bridal hair in the future! I also want to expand my knowledge in fun and flashy vivid hair colours.

Hello, I’m Shanika de Silva, a dedicated hairstylist with a passion for shaping both hair and confidence. I have over 8 years of experience as a hairstylist and esthetician in Sri Lanka. In addition I decided to upgrade my skills with another hairdressing course and successfully graduated from Blanche Macdonald Center, Vancouver in 2023.
Specializing in women’s haircuts, I’ve found my true calling in unlocking the beauty of curls. From bouncy waves to tight coils, I’m here to celebrate and enhance your natural texture. Now it’s time to expand my skills in the world of blondes. Join me on a journey of self-expression, where every haircut is a statement, and your curls take center stage. I have enjoyed taking care of people of all age for the greater part of my life. Since the 80s, a passion for hair and fashion has remained a constant in my life. Keeping up with the latest trends and being highly influenced by the world around me is something I truly love.
I returned to school at Blanche Macdonald and completed the barbering and stylist program beginning of 2023. The amazing girls at Charm and Champagne continue to inspire me, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have been embraced by these extraordinary women. Starting my dream career is incredibly exciting, and I look forward to being there for all your hair needs.
