The Kent Backcomb Brush KS04 is molded from a single piece of heat-resistant ABS. Additionally, its balanced design features an elongated curve and a tapered handle with a pointed tip, making it ideal for sectioning and picking up hair. The head contains three rows of boar bristles, mixed with nylon for added durability.

Backcombing, also known as “teasing,” involves brushing the hair in reverse, from the ends towards the roots, to create volume. This technique involves separating the hair into sections, lifting it, and gently brushing towards the scalp. This process generates slight friction, resulting in a voluminous texture.

It is often used for creating voluminous hairstyles, updos, or retro styles like the “beehive.” Long hair is particularly suited for achieving maximum volume. After backcombing, styling products such as hairspray help to keep the hairstyle in place.

Maintenance tips:
We strongly advise against using harsh chemicals such as barbicides on these brushes. This will lead to damage.
